The first installment of the series of Thursday courses led by the internationally renowned artist Jindra Čapek will take place on April 24 at Port 1560. Over the course of five lessons, we will show you that anyone can be an artist, regardless of previous experience.
The course consists of 5 lessons.
All art materials are included in the price.
For the first lesson, bring an image of an animal you would like to paint.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Visitor Center Port 1560, no later than 7 days before the course starts.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for everyone who would like to learn acrylic painting techniques. No prior experience is necessary. It is designed for beginners and intermediate learners, as well as children aged 12 and up.
We will meet in the graphic workshop 15 minutes before the session begins. We believe that bringing together participants of different skill levels can be enriching and inspiring. The course has a limited number of participants, allowing the instructor to provide individual attention to each student based on their needs and preferences.
We value a pleasant and friendly atmosphere during our lessons, so you are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while painting.
About Jindra Čapek
Jindra Čapek is a renowned illustrator and graphic artist, born in České Budějovice in 1953. His magical and colorful illustrations make his work truly unforgettable. He studied in Karlsruhe and Zurich, where he refined his artistic skills.Throughout his career, he has collaborated with many well-known authors, including Pavel Šrut, Bohumil Hrabal, Eduard Petiška, and Zdeněk Svěrák. His books have been translated into 25 languages and sold worldwide. Some of his most famous works include illustrations for "Kubula and Kuba Kubikula" and "One Thousand and One Nights".
Jindra Čapek has received numerous awards, and his work has been exhibited in major cities worldwide, including New York and Tokyo. His art is recognized for its delicacy and attention to detail, reminiscent of miniature painting.
In addition to illustrating books, he has also designed postage stamps. One of his well-known stamps features The Frog from "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame, and this year, he is working on a new stamp depicting the historic square and town hall of Český Krumlov.

Cancellations less than a week before the workshop: No refund.
