Who is this course for?
This course is a great opportunity for all art and craft enthusiasts who want to discover the beauty of traditional Japanese techniques and create their own unique works. Paper printing – Katagami is an ancient Japanese technique used to create beautiful patterns and decorations on textiles and paper. During the workshop, you will learn about the history of these techniques, master the basic processes, and have the chance to try them under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
Instructor Marek Borsányi
Marek Borsányi is a contemporary Czech artist, born in 1966 in Uherské Hradiště. He studied at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Uherské Hradiště, and his work spans a wide range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, sculpture, graphic design, and performance art.
Borsányi is renowned for his illustrations and drawings, which often blend traditional techniques with modern elements. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Český Krumlov, Uherské Hradiště, Austria, Germany, Poland, and Slovakia. In addition to visual arts, Borsányi is also engaged in performance art and music. His passion for combining classical artistic disciplines and presenting them in public spaces has led him to participate in various art symposiums and festivals. As an artist, he continuously seeks new ways to express his creativity and inspire others with his unique approach to art.
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Port 1560 Visitor Center, no later than 7 days before the event.
Workshop Price: 1400 CZK (A 20% discount is available with the Krumlovák Card at the visitor center)

Each cancellation request is handled individually, and we do our best to ensure your satisfaction. If there is insufficient interest, we reserve the right to cancel the event and provide a full refund. If you are unable to attend due to illness, you may transfer your spot to another person.
In case of cancellation: Up to one week before the event: 100% refund.
Less than one week before the event: No refund.
